This piece is part of the Runway Program project in collaboration with Full Sail University, where I was tasked with creating high-quality 3D mechanical assets. The Ford 9N starter motor was modeled in Autodesk Maya with clean, optimized topology, UV unwrapped for efficient texturing, and brought to life using Substance Painter for realistic PBR materials.
The aim was to capture accurate proportions, intricate surface details, and material authenticity, while ensuring the model remains suitable for both real-time applications and high-quality renders. The final presentation was rendered with Arnold, focusing on dramatic lighting and material definition to highlight the form and craftsmanship.
